Bom, tá ai.. Seja o que Deus quiser! ^^

Hi host family, in this letter I want to tell you more about who I am, what I like to do in my free time, why I want to be your au pair, my childcare experience, what I've learned with my childcare experience, what is my expectations for this year and what I want to do when I come back to my country.
I'm an 18 years old Brazilian girl, I live in São Paulo with my family that is composed for my mother, Cristiane, my father, Almério and my three younger siblings, Gustavo (12), Juliana (5) and henrique (4), we also have a cat! I'm now working with my mother in her snackbar, and it's very important for me to work with my family because I'm participating in the growth of the family business! I also love to work with my mother because we are very close and I can say that she's my best friend!
I don't much like to go out, I prefer to stay at home reading a good book or listening to music, this is my favourites hobbies! When I rarely go out with some friends I like to go to the movies, or a park or maybe to see a show! I'd rather to go to calm places where I can seat and talk to my collegues!
But what I really love to do when I'm alone is to study! I'm very dedicated and hardworking, and I don't stop trying until I do with perfection what I need to do!
There's a lot of other activities that I love to do when I have time, such as biking, hiking and play volleyball with some friends and familiars!
Something else that is very important for you to know, is that to became an au pair is a dream that I'm going to realize.
I always wanted to go to USA to practice my English, because I never had the conditions to pay for a course and, actually, I preferred to learn English by myself to save up so that I could make this interchange. I also decided to be an au pair, because I needed a cheap program and one that could gave me a good time to be in total imersion in your language and in your culture, which is very different from mine.
I've always been taking care of my younger siblings, cousins and some neighbor's kids and I loved those experiences, so I realized that the au pair program was the perfect for me, for my necessities and my skills.
I have been taking care of my younger siblings since they were born. I was so young when my first brother were born, I was only 7 and I already helped my mother with him. When I was 12 my sister Juliana were born and one year after my younger brother Henrique was born too. I babysat them while they were little babies and I still caring for them until now! Another experiences that I had with children was with cousins, I have about three little cousins and always the family was together I was the one whospended time caring, playing and entertaning them. My cousin Camilly is now 9 years old and she comes to my house every weekend since she was 5 and I love when she comes here and we play together all day long! I bathe her and feed her, and when it gets late her father comes to pick her up. We are very close and I consider her as a really friend. I also took care of a neighbor's kid, her name is Geovanna and I took care of her since she was 3 years until 5. I had full responsability for her. I used to go to her house in the morning when her mother was going out to work, then I fed her and bathe her, and took her to school. When the time to pick her up at school arrived, I went her school and took her home, we spended the rest of our free time doing her homework and playing funny games.
With all those experiences with very different kids, I learned how to be more patient, I've improved my creative side, I've got more maturity and I feel that I've turned myself into someone more responsible and happy!
During this year as an au pair, I'm going to give my best to take care of your children, just like I've done with the other kids that I had and still having experience with! I'm going to learn everything that I can about your language and your culture and to grow up in my professional life and also as a human.
This interchange is going to be the chance for me to discover new potentials, it's the perfect opportunity for me to show everyone how far I can go.
For your children, I want to teach them so many things about my culture, such as new games that they might not know, new dishes that I'll love to cook for them and a lot of other different things that is going to be a pleasure that I'll have the chance to show them!
I want to help them with their learning, not only about school subjects, but also about life, about human values. I'm going to dedicate me as much as I can to help you in whatever you need and I'll always respect you and your family.
This year is supposed to be the best one of my life and I hope I can carry your friendship with me just forever!
When I come back to my country, I want to search for a job in the education area as an English teacher and I also have a project in mind to teach English for poor children and teenagers. I had a lot of financial difficulties to learn this language, so I started studying by myself since I was 11, and I know how important this knowledge have been in my life. Because of those reasons, I want to give the opportunity for people like me, that doesn't have conditions to pay for a course, to learn English and to crate a new perspective for life!
I want to come back with an open mind, with a bigger cultural baggage, with the happiness of a children that just received a new toy but also with the maturity of a grown person that just had a dream realized.
Thank you so much for reading my letter, and I hope I also can meet you soon!
